Jason Gilchrist: Burnley forward loaned to Accrington Stanley

Burnley forward Jason Gilchrist has joined League Two side Accrington on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old, who is yet to play a first-team game for the Premier League strugglers, scored the only goal in Burnley's pre-season friendly win over Stanley in August.

He could make his Football League debut in Saturday's game against Portsmouth.

"It's a chance for him to get his career started at this level," said Accrington boss John Coleman.

"I know he scored here in pre-season so we've already had a glimpse of what he can do," he told the club website.
