Sweden international goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl has kept four clean sheets in five league games so far this year

Chelsea goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl has no equal in the Women's Super League, according to Blues boss Emma Hayes.

The 32-year-old Sweden international joined the London club from Kristianstads DFF in December.

"She's the best goalkeeper in the league," Hayes told BBC Sport, after Thursday's 0-0 draw against Arsenal.

"She's got two impressive defenders in front of her too. I don't want to sell Niamh Fahey and Gilly Flaherty short because they were immense."

Who is Hedvig Lindahl?

Hedvig Lindahl has won 103 senior caps for her country and has played at three Olympic Games

Formerly of Malmo FF and Goteborg FC, she has played six competitive games for Chelsea so far this season, conceding just two goals.

Lindahl and Chelsea have conceded just one league goal so far this season.

"We've got the best defensive record in the league at the moment," Hayes added. "That's down to hard work, talented players, organisation and desire.

"The goalkeeper and two centre-backs have been absolutely fantastic. It will take an awful lot to beat them."

Chelsea's next game is against Manchester City, in the FA Women's Cup semi-finals, on Monday.
