Edinson Cavani scored a hat-trick as Paris St-Germain beat Guingamp to move to within two victories of a third consecutive Ligue 1 title.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice and assisted another two as PSG moved six points above Lyon overnight.

Cavani opened the scoring from close range in the second minute and Ibrahimovic made it 2-0 from 10 yards.

Lyon, who face Caen on Saturday (16:00 BST), are now six points behind PSG - with a worse goal difference of four following the champions' rout.

Laurent Blanc's side are looking to become the first team to win all four domestic trophies in France.

They won the Champions Trophy, the country's Community Shield, at the start of the season and the French League Cup. They face mid-table second tier side Auxerre in the French Cup final on Saturday, 30 May.

If beaten Champions League quarter-finalists PSG win their final two league games - against seventh-placed Montpellier and Reims, in 17th, they will win their fifth domestic title.
