New Stevenage boss Teddy Sheringham has appointed former Colchester United midfielder Kevin Watson as his assistant manager.

Watson made 154 appearances for the U's over four years following a three-year spell with Rotherham.

He began doing his coaching badges with Colchester, where he worked with the club's academy players.

The 41-year-old has also worked as television pundit since retiring from playing in 2010.
