Mansfield have signed goalkeepers Scott Shearer from Crewe and Brian Jensen from Crawley on free transfers.
Shearer, 34, has played for 11 clubs including Wycombe, Rotherham and Coventry, in a 15-year career.
Jensen, 40, will combine a player and goalkeeping coach role at the club.
"I've been here a few times and I've always been impressed by the set-up, the stadium, the support the team gets and the manager is a massive factor as well," Shearer told the club website., external
"I'm not somebody who'll go to a club to just stagnate and be there for no reason.
"We've only got a short career in a short space of time and I want to be as successful as I can be. I get that vibe from this club."
Jensen, who was born in Denmark, said he was looking forward to working with boss Adam Murray, adding: ""He's got a great philosophy. He wants to do well and he's determined, so you're halfway there."
