Plymouth Argyle have signed defender Gary Sawyer from League Two rivals Leyton Orient on a one-year deal.

The 29-year-old made 18 appearances for Orient last season as they suffered relegation from League One.

Sawyer, who played 106 games for the Pilgrims from 2006-2010, will join Derek Adams' side when his current contract expires at the end of June.

The Plymouth academy graduate has previously had spells with Exeter, Bristol City and Bristol Rovers.
