England continued their 100% winning start to the 2017 European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign with a comfortable victory over Kazakhstan.

Debutant Chuba Akpom hit a post before Ruben Loftus-Cheek opened the scoring, rifling home after Eric Dier knocked down James Ward-Prowse's free-kick at Coventry's Ricoh Arena.

Nathan Redmond fired home to make it 2-0 before Akpom scored from close range.

England's next game is against Bosnia-Herzegovina in Sarajevo on 12 November.

Young Lions boss Gareth Southgate named a strong side for his team's second game of the qualifying campaign.

It included eight players who have made a combined total of 31 Premier League appearances this season.

England, who opened the campaign with a 1-0 win away to Norway, external last month, are the only team in Group 9 with maximum points.

However, they still trail joint leaders Norway and Switzerland, who have played more games, by one point.
