Blair Adams: Mansfield sign Notts County full-back on loan

Blair Adams never played for Sunderland's first team in three years with the club

Mansfield Town have signed full-back Blair Adams from fellow League Two side Notts County on a one-month loan deal.

The 24-year-old, who started his career at Sunderland, has played 42 games for the Magpies since joining on a free transfer from Coventry in July 2014.

He has joined as cover for Mal Benning, who suffered a knee injury in Saturday's defeat by Bristol Rovers.

"He (Adams) is a player who we feel will fit in to our philosophy," Stags boss Adam Murray told the club website.

"He has an excellent pedigree. As a full-back he is attack-minded, quick and technically excellent."
