Kortney Hause: Wolves want replacement for injured defender

Wolves are working hard to sign a defender after losing Kortney Hause to injury, says the Championship club's head coach Kenny Jackett.

Hause, 20, is set to miss six weeks after pulling his hamstring in Wolves' 3-1 home defeat by Middlesbrough.

It leaves Jackett with potentially only four fit senior defenders for Saturday's derby against Birmingham.

"We've made lots of enquiries over the weekend and we'll see who we can bring in," Jackett told the club website.

Jackett is already without Ethan Ebanks-Landell (broken foot), while fellow defender Dominic Iorfa, who missed the Boro defeat through suspension, is struggling with a knee injury but could return for the weekend.

Wolves are 14th in the Championship table after 13 games.

"Defensively, we do need options with the injuries that we have," Jackett added.

"We have different targets and will continue to do our best to try to remedy the situation.

"The goals against column is too high, we need to address that and we're looking to use the loan market to address that by the weekend."

Jackett has had to recall winger Jordan Graham from his loan spell with Oxford United following an injury to Rajiv van La Parra, who is likely to miss the next three weeks with a knee problem.
