Honda Repsol's Dani Pedrosa has had a plate inserted into his right collarbone after breaking it in a fall at Sunday's French Grand Prix.

The Spaniard crashed after clipping Marco Simoncelli's back wheel while contesting second place at Le Mans, in a race won by Australian Casey Stoner.

"Dani's participation in the Grand Prix of Catalunya is uncertain," said Honda Repsol, referring to the 5 June race.

Last month he had surgery to remove a plate from his other collarbone.

Pedrosa, who broke his left returned to win the Portuguese Grand Prix, external and is third in the championship standings behind Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo and Honda's Stoner after four races of the season.
