Wales began their preparation for the netball World Championship in June with second place at the Open Netball Europe Championship in Belfast.

Wales lost Friday's opener 57-35 to defending champions England, but beat Scotland 47-42 on Saturday.

A 48-48 draw with hosts Northern Ireland on Sunday was enough for Melissa Hyndman's team to claim second behind England on goal difference.

The Netball Europe tournament was a warm-up for the worlds in Singapore.
