England began the defence of their Netball Europe title with a 60-16 defeat of Scotland.

They surged clear after going 26-12 up at the break, to build on Thursday's wins over invitational sides Trinidad and Tobago and South Africa.

Elsewhere on Friday, Wales beat Trinidad and Tobago 53-46 while hosts Northern Ireland saw off Scotland 40-31 and then lost 57-47 to South Africa.

Saturday's matches see Wales take on England and South Africa.

Scotland and Northern Ireland, who drew against Wales on Thursday, are also in action, both taking on Trinidad and Tobago.
