China's Luo Yutong and Qin Kai claimed gold in the men's synchronised 3m springboard to make it four wins from four for Chinese divers at London 2012.

The duo tallied 477.00 points to keep China firmly on target to complete a clean sweep of Olympic diving events.

Russia's Ilya Zakharov and Evgeny Kuznetsov took silver, while Troy Dumais and Kristian Ipsen secured bronze for the USA.

Great Britain's Chris Mears and Nicholas Robinson-Baker finished fifth.

A career-best second place behind the Chinese at the final World Series event in Mexico in April had Mears and Robinson-Baker dreaming of making the podium in London.

While their score of 432.60 was only just shy of the one they posted in Mexico, it was not enough to see them finish in the top three.

China have dominated Olympic diving so far having also won gold in the men's and women's synchronised 10m platform and the women's 3m synchro events.

Only a gold by Australia's Matthew Mitcham in the 10m platform prevented Chinese divers from achieving the feat in Beijing four years ago.
