Andy Murray & Laura Robson in Olympics mixed doubles final

Andy Murray and Laura Robson are through to the Olympic mixed doubles final after beating Germany's Christopher Kas and Sabine Lisicki.

The British duo came out on top in a thrilling semi-final, winning 6-1 6-7 (7-9) 10-7.

Murray also plays in the men's singles final on Sunday, when he takes on Swiss world number one Roger Federer.

He is guaranteed to win two medals for Great Britain and could also become a double Olympic champion.

"It's been different to what I normally do, but I've enjoyed the whole event and [Sunday] is pretty much the perfect end to the tournament for me, and I'll try to win both," Murray told BBC Radio 5 live.

It was the third successive match in which the British pair had needed a deciding set, which takes the form of a first-to-10 'champions tie-break' in the mixed doubles.

They had edged past Czech pair Radek Stepanek and Lucie Hradecka 7-5 6-7 (7-9) 10-7 in the first round before beating Australian pair Lleyton Hewitt and Sam Stosur 6-3 3-6 10-8 in the quarter-final earlier on Saturday.

Murray and Robson will face Belarusians Victoria Azarenka and Max Mirnyi.
