Cornish rower Helen Glover secured her place at the London 2012 Olympic Games before winning a silver medal at the World Rowing Championships in Slovenia.

Glover, 25, and partner Heather Stanning, 26, lost to reigning world champions Rebecca Scown and Juliette Haigh of New Zealand.

But Glover and Stanning's appearance in the final guaranteed Great Britain a pairs place at next year's Olympics.

"It's really exciting to have qualified for London," said Glover.
