Half-back Craig Gower has formally stood down as captain of London Broncos and has been replaced by Tony Clubb.
The 35-year-old Australian had been skipper since joining the Twickenham Stoop outfit at the start of 2012.
England forward Clubb, 25, has clocked up more than 150 appearances for the Broncos since making his debut for the Super League club in 2008.
"The change just enables us to have another dimension to the leadership," Broncos head coach Tony Rea said.
"Tony has all the attributes of a leader - he's been in the system for eight years, leads from the front and is a proud Londoner," Rea told the club website., external
"He has other attributes the team can look to in the heat of battle.
"It certainly gives us an opportunity to share the leadership around. Craig, as a play-maker, will always show the intensity to play the game hard and work hard."
Gower remains under contract until the end of the 2014 season.
