Sale Sharks wing Tom Arscott has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

The 27-year-old moved to the Sharks after London Welsh's relegation from the Premiership in the summer of 2013.

He has since scored eight tries in 27 top-flight games, including a hat-trick against his former club in September.

"Tom's been scoring lots of tries and playing really well. He's a great lad, young and I think that there's a lot more to come over the next few years," said director of rugby Steve Diamond.

"He likes the environment here and has really settled in the area so we're delighted he's agreed to stay."

Arscott was born in Plymouth and started his career with his hometown club before spells with Bristol and Worcester.
