Island Games: Isle of Man shooters continue gold success

Shooter Kermode-Clague has now won two gold medals

Team Isle of Man won five gold medals for the third day running at the Island Games to remain second in the overall medals table behind Guernsey.

Shooter Clemintine Kermode-Clague won her second gold of the competition in the ladies' universal trench.

Rachel Glover then won both the individual gold in the 100 yards prone rifle competition and team gold with partner Laura Ward.

Glover has now won four gold medals and a bronze at this year's event.

Swimmer Charlotte Atkinson added the 200m backstroke gold to the impressive medal haul and high jumper Reagan Dee rounded off the Manx gold medals by clearing 1.66m in the women's high jump competition.

Meanwhile, archer Aalin George claimed silver in the compound head-to-head knockout competition, with Sarah Rigby narrowly missing the bronze in fourth.

Swimmer Laura Kinley also won silver in the women's 100m breaststroke.

With two days of competition remaining the Isle of Man are eight golds behind Guernsey, who top the medals table.
