Real Madrid's interest in Tottenham winger Gareth Bale appears to be cooling after head coach Carlo Ancelotti told club president Florentino Perez that he did not consider the 24-year-old integral to his plans this season.

But Ancelotti wants the Spanish club to relaunch talks with Spurs over signing the Wales international so the forward avoids the struggles Luke Modric endured last season when he moved late in the transfer window.
