TRANSFER GOSSIP
Midfielder Aaron Ramsey, 23, is in talks about signing a new five-year deal with Arsenal which will double his wages to £100,000-a-week.
Everton's on-loan striker Lacina Traore, 23, will be out for two months with a hamstring injury but the Merseyside club will not send him back to Monaco in the hope he can play for them during the climax of the season.

Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, 26, intends to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Gerard Deulofeu, 19, is not planning to extend his one-year loan at Everton as the winger says he is planning to return to Barcelona for next season.

Sunderland's on-loan Liverpool striker Fabio Borini, 22, is hoping he can score the goals to secure Premier League survival for the Black Cats and earn a recall to the Italy team.

Liverpool are interested in signing Argentina winger Nicolas Gaitan from Benfica in the summer. The Portuguese club want at least £16m for the 26-year-old, who is also a transfer target for Manchester United.
Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos, 24 is interested in a move to Manchester United and has discussed a potential transfer to the Premier League with his brother Felix, who plays for Werder Bremen.

Inter Milan could bid for two Premier League strikers when the season ends. The Italian club want Manchester City's Edin Dzeko, 27, and 28-year-old Dani Osvaldo, who is on loan at Juventus from Southampton.

Tottenham are closing in on a deal to bring Anderlecht midfielder Ismail Azzaoui, 16, to White Hart Lane. The teenager has already rejected a contract to stay with the Belgian club.

Jermaine Jenas wants to commit his long-term future to Queens Park Rangers. The 31-year-old midfielder, who has played 21 times for England, is out of contract at the end of the season.

Montpellier president Louis Nicollin says he will not be selling 23-year-old midfielder Remy Cabella to Newcastle. In January, the Magpies had a bid rejected for the player, who has represented France at Under-21 level.

Richard Bevan, chief executive of the League Managers' Association, has refused to defend Alan Pardew after the Newcastle boss headbutted Hull midfielder David Meyler. Pardew, 52, faces a Football Association disciplinary charge and Bevan called Pardew's actions "insupportable".

Arsenal's Tomas Rosicky will sign a new one-year contract with the Gunners by the end of the week. The 33-year-old Czech midfielder's current deal expires in the summer.
AND FINALLY
Six Manchester City fans turned up at Wembley for their League Cup final win over Sunderland with tickets for the wrong match.
The group had tickets for the league game between the two sides that had been scheduled to take place on 12 February, but was cancelled because of poor weather. Four of the supporters managed to get new tickets, but two had to watch the game from a local curry house.
