Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf claims current Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal, 62, has agreed a contract to take over as Manchester United manager. A United spokesman told BBC Sport: "There is nothing to report. We have not signed a new manager. When we have something to report, we will announce it."

Former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson told the audience at a fundraising dinner this week that he thinks United should pick Ryan Giggs as their new permanent manager.
