Everton are considering an offer for West Ham's Senegal midfielder Mohamed Diame, 26, as a potential alternative to a permanent deal for on-loan Manchester City man Gareth Barry. Diame, who worked with Roberto Martinez at Wigan, has a £3.5m buy-out clause.
