Following Wales' 2-0 semi-final defeat by Portugal, plenty of players and celebrities commented on social media, with Prime Minister David Cameron and Gavin and Stacey star Rob Brydon among those to pass on their congratulations.
Spirits were much higher in Cristiano Ronaldo's camp as he equalled Michel Platini's European Championships goal record, with Ricardo Quaresma posting this dressing room photo on Instagram.
Germany boss Joachim Low confirmed on Wednesday that midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger would be fit to captain the side in their semi-final against France on Thursday. The Manchester United man has posted a picture of himself on Twitter looking ready for action.
Schweinsteiger could find himself coming up against Old Trafford colleague Anthony Martial. The France forward tweeted this photo from a plane en route to Marseille.
