Skateboarder Sky Brown, 11, wins World Championships medal

Eleven-year-old Sky Brown will be seeded for next season's Olympic qualifying events after winning bronze at the Park World Skateboarding Championships in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Brown, aiming to become Britain's youngest summer Olympian at Tokyo 2020, secured her best finish of the year.

She led with a score of 55 after her first run but dropped to third.

Being seeded means if she takes part and remains injury free, she will essentially qualify for Tokyo.

World Skate confirmed the British number one will be seeded for the Olympic qualifiers, which culminate in the World Championships in May, after her third-placed finish.

Misugu Okamoto from Japan took gold with a score of 61.17.
