Rangers are enduring their worst start to a league season in 47 years, but what are the stats behind this landmark?
The Ibrox side are not in Scottish Premiership action this weekend but more pressure could be heaped on Russell Martin and his players if they exit the Premier Sports Cup to Hibernian.
Rangers have four points from five Premiership games, their lowest since the three they took at the start of the 1978-79 campaign. That year, John Greig's side went a sixth game without victory at the start of the season with another draw before finally breaking their duck with a win on their seventh outing.
Martin's side have scored three goals in their five fixtures, which is lower than '78, by which time four had been netted.
Combined with their final fixture of last season, Rangers are on a six-match winless league run, last matched during Alex McLeish's final season in charge, 2005-06, which took the form of four draws and two defeats.
The Ibrox team are conceding an average of exactly one goal a game, which last occurred over an opening five-league game spell in the top flight in 2019.
Only one clean sheet has been recorded by Rangers in the Premiership so far, against leaders Celtic. Steven Gerrard's Rangers also only had one shutout from five games at the start of the 2019-20 campaign, a run which included four wins and one loss.
Rangers are averaging 13.2 shots per game overall in the Premiership, compared with 18.4 over the whole of last season.
In the league, Martin's team are facing an average 10.8 shots per match, up from 9.1 last term.
