Rangers defender King joins Ayr United on loan

Rangers defender Leon King has joined Scottish Championship side Ayr United on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has made 42 first team appearances for the Ibrox club since making his debut in 2020, but spent the second half of last season on loan at Queen's Park.

"I'm really happy and delighted to be here," the centre-back said of his latest move.

"Being a footballer, I want to play as many games as possible. The last few weeks have been pretty difficult but I'm just concentrating on myself and I'm ready to go here.

"I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had a Rangers but I have a job to do here now."
