Mowi Premiership champions Kingussie dropped their first point of the season in a 2-2 draw with Caberfeidh in Strathpeffer.
Lovat leapfrogged Skye into second place with a 2-1 home win and Kyles and Lochaber battled out a 5-5 draw at Tighnabruich.
Oban Camanachd came from behind to edge visitors Newtonmore 2-1 at Mossfield and Kinlochshiel overwhelmed Glenurquhart 6-2 at Balmacara.
Dylan Borthwick opened for Kingussie but Craig Morrison put Cabers ahead with goals on either side of half-time before Borthwick’s second salvaged a point for the champions.
A Calum MacAulay double after just eight minutes put Lovat firmly in charge and Kenny Cushnie’s response midway through the first half was not enough for Skye.
Four from Ben Delaney proved to be the cornerstone for Lochaber, who were only denied victory by Luke Thornton’s 85th-minute equaliser. This followed two each from Kyles’ Scott MacDonald and Ross MacRae while Pat Toal was Lochaber’s other scorer.
Craig Ritchie opened for Newtonmore just after half-time and Gregor MacDonald’s equaliser was followed by a late Rory Kennedy own goal to give both points to Oban.
Keith MacRae sent Kinlochshiel 3-0 up with a hat-trick in the first quarter of the game. Archie MacRae got another for Shiel although Alfie MacLeod limited the half-time damage to 4-2. A penalty from Archie MacRae and a goal from John MacRae completed Shiel’s haul and condemned Glen to their eighth game without a point.
Two from Finlay MacLennan, including a penalty, helped Beauly extend their 100% record in the National Division to six games and their lead over Fort William to four points, although Fort have two games in hand.
The pick of the ties in the HIS Sutherland Cup, the national junior championship, saw Beauly’s reserves edge local rivals Lovat’s second team 4-3 after extra time.
