Monday's match was not a classic for most, but it was significant for 38-year-old Brighton midfielder James Milner, who overtook Ryan Giggs to go second outright on the Premier League's all-time appearance list.
The former Manchester City and Liverpool star has played 633 top-flight matches, 20 short of record holder Gareth Barry.
In fact, such is James Milner's longevity, both Brighton and Wolves have played in League One more recently than the midfielder's Premier League debut for Leeds on 10 November, 2002.
Milner, as he has done for much of his career, quietly went about his game and may have even got on the scoresheet in the first half, but chose to cross the ball when well-positioned in the penalty area.
"Games wise I've hopefully got a few more in me," Milner told TNT Sports when asked if he was targeting Barry's record.
"I've had some luck, I've worked hard and you have to enjoy it to put the work in every day. I've been fortunate to play for some great clubs."
