Kingussie beat Oban Camanachd to retain Macaulay Cup

Kingussie retained the Artemis Macaulay Cup and remained on track for a second consecutive Grand Slam with a hard fought 1-0 final victory over Oban Camanachd at Mossfield Park, Oban.
It took Kingussie just nine minutes to open through a 20-yard Fraser Munro rocket.
However Camanachd surged forward in response, forcing some fine saves out of Bob MacGregor and dominating much of the rest of the first half.
Camanachd turned the screw even more tightly into the second half, but the equaliser evaded them, with Lewis Cameron shooting just over.
Then Roddy Young hit a post as Kingussie edged back into the game and held on to win this cup for the third time in four consecutive finals between these two.
Newtonmore went joint top of the Mowi Premiership with a 4-0 win at Beauly on a day when the other two top-flight games were postponed.
Joe Coyle opened for Newtonmore and Iain Robinson made it 2-0 at half time. Matthew Sloss and, late on, Conor Jones then completed the job.
Newtonmore, with an extra game played, trail Camanachd only on goals scored.
Col Glen's 6-0 defeat of Strathglass kept the race for the second National Division promotion place very much alive.
Col Glen finished their National Division programme with a 6-0 defeat of pointless Strathglass and sit in the second promotion place. However they could still be caught by Glasgow Mid Argyll or Bute.
Mid Argyll's hopes took a dent with a 2-0 defeat by visitors Inveraray.
Lochaber, already confirmed as champions, edged Kilmallie 2-1 in their local derby.
