The Premiership title is still up for grabs after Kingussie dropped points on Skye and Oban Camanachd drew 2-2 against Fort William.

Leaders and champions Kingussie took the lead through Lee Bain, but Ross Gordon scored for the hosts in Portree.

At Mossfield, second-placed Oban Camanachd stay a point back after coming from behind twice against fourth-placed Fort William.

Daniel MacVicar and Ross Campbell scored for the hosts after the visitors twice went in front through Ewen Campbell.

Kingussie, Oban and Fort William, as well as Newtonmore in third, all remain contenders, with Newtonmore still to play Oban on 18 October before a further head-to-head between Fort and Kingussie on 1 November.

Meanwhile, Col Glen from South Argyll will play Premiership shinty for the first time next season after their only promotion rivals Bute lost their final National Division game 2-1 at home to Inveraray.

Ben Cameron and Fraser Watt's penalty put Inveraray 2-0 up early in the second half and although a Scott Harvey penalty dragged Bute back into it, they were unable to make further inroads with just 10 men, following red cards for Marcus Planck and Harvey.

This gives top flight status to Col Glen - from Colntraive and Glendaruel - a club which has folded three times since 1966 and only emerged from the junior leagues to the National Division in 2023.
