Coleraine came from behind to beat Carrick Rangers 2-1 at the Showgrounds to move within a point of Irish Premiership leaders Glentoran.

The Glens' game against second place Larne at the Oval was postponed less than an hour before kick-off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Glenavon's winless run in the league stretched to nine games as they were beaten 2-0 by Crusaders at Mourneview Park.

James Teelan scored a last-minute winner to help Portadown to a first victory at Solitude since 2014 as they won 2-1 in a fiery encounter in north Belfast.

Dungannon Swifts recorded back-to-back victories for the first time this season as they secured a 2-0 win against Ballymena United.

The visitors grabbed the lead midway through the opening half, just minutes after Joel Cooper had struck the woodwork for the home side.

Billy Joe Burns lofted a high, hopeful ball into the heart of the penalty area where Ryan Waide reacted quickly to a flick on before guiding the ball past Coleraine goalkeeper Aidan Harris from six yards.

The Bannsiders drew level just before the break thanks to Zane Okoro's first goal for the club on his first start.

The on-loan Lincoln City winger controlled a pinpoint pass from Levi Ives on his chest before bearing down on goal.

As Nathan Gartside raced off his line, the American clipped the ball towards goal, the final touch coming off Carrick Rangers defender Ryan McKay.

The hosts went in front just after the hour thanks to Joel Cooper's fifth league goal of the season.

Will Patching and Jamie Glackin combined to set up Cooper, who had the simple task of tapping home from close range.

Glackin was denied by a smart save from Gartside in the closing moments while Danny Gibson passed up a great chance for Carrick in added time.

The away side took the lead after just 11 minutes when Oli McCart's pass played Adam Brooks through on goal, with his effort pinging off the crossbar before finding the back of the net.

Both sides then had half chances during an entertaining first half, with Corey Smith and Michael O'Connor firing off target and Elliot Dunlop's effort gathered by Jacob Carney.

Early in the second half, Carney made another good save to divert Dunlop's effort away from goal after Brooks had unselfishly squared to the winger.

Glenavon then came close shortly after on the counter attack with Smith, O'Connor and Davy McDaid all having efforts cleared.

On 65 minutes, Lloyd Anderson gave Declan Caddell's side a more comfortable advantage when he converted the rebound after Brooks' shot had been cleared off the line by Kyle McClelland.

Portadown edged themselves in front on 64 minutes when Eamon Fyfe ghosted in at the back post to guide home.

Steven McCullough had surged through midfield on the counter attack before delivering a pinpoint low cross, leaving Fyfe with the simplest of finishes.

Odhran Casey looked as though he had rescued a point for the Reds in the 90th minute when the defender rose highest to meet a cross and power his header beyond Aaron McCarey to snatch a dramatic equaliser.

There was to be more late drama to come when Casey lost possession in midfield in the 96th minute and Teelan was set off on the counter attack before calmly dispatching beyond a helpless PJ Morrison.

The late winner saw a coming together from both benches, with Ben Wylie being shown a red card after being substituted.

Ballymena came close midway through the first half when Dungannon defender Danny Wallace slipped as he attempted to clear a low James Hood cross.

The in-rushing Matthew Clarke instinctively poked the ball towards goal, but Swifts goalkeeper Declan Dunne was alert to make a sharp reflex save.

Instead, it was the visitors who opened the scoring on 28 minutes. Clarke's slip inadvertently created space for Steven Scott to advance forward with the ball, and he slipped a pass to Bobby-Jack McAleese, who cut inside and fired a left-footed shot into the net via the inside of the post.

The visitors doubled their lead in bizarre circumstances on 36 minutes when Kealan Dillon's free-kick was missed by Stephen O'Donnell and Kym Nelson inadvertently turned the ball into his own net off his heel.

Dungannon missed the chance to grab a third just before half-time after Ballymena goalkeeper Sean O'Neill was adjudged to have fouled Adam Glenny, but Junior's spot kick crashed off the inside of the post.

Ballymena showed more urgency after the break but the best they could muster was a Clarke shot which was cleared off the line among a ruck of players, but the Swifts were able to comfortably hold on to claim their third league win in their last four outings.
