Larne came from behind to defeat Cliftonville 2-1 at Inver Park to claim the NIFL Charity Shield.
Ryan Corrigan took advantage of a mix-up in the Larne defence to give Cliftonville the lead before Lee Bonis levelled the game shortly after the restart.
Tiernan Lynch’s men completed the comeback in the 61st minute when Andy Ryan’s header found the back of the net.
The home side dominated the opening encounters and in the fifth minute Bonis’ effort found the back of the net, but he was offside.
Cliftonville broke the deadlock on 20 minutes when Ben Wylie intercepted a poor clearance by Rohan Ferguson and passed across to 17-year-old Corrigan, who slotted home from close range.
Larne had two chances to level the game shortly after the goal with Bonis failing to connect with a well-timed pass by Conor McKendry before stopper Davd Odumosu was forced to make a good save to stop Ryan’s free-kick from finding the bottom corner.
Yet, as the half went on, the chances became few and far between.
It took just five minutes after the restart for Tiernan Lynch's men to level the game when Ryan controlled Mark Randall’s long delivery and found Bonis, who had outpaced his marker and found the bottom corner with his resulting strike.
Larne took the lead when Ryan headed Randall’s delivery from the right wing past Odumosu and into the back of the net.
The home side had multiple good chances to make their lead more comfortable with Levi Ives header denied by the post and Matthew Lusty’s strike fizzing narrowly wide.
Substitute Reece Jordan looked destined to send the game to extra-time with the final kick of the game when the ball fell to him after a scramble in the box, but a huge clearance off the line by Oisin Devlin guaranteed it was Larne's red ribbon on the Charity Shield for the first time.
