Victories for three of the top four saw Oban Camanachd remain at the head of the Mowi Premiership with a 2-1 defeat of Lovat who slid deeper into relegation trouble.

A second-half surge gave champions Kingussie a 5-0 success away to Kyles and Fort William defeated visitors Caberfeidh 3-1 to remain a point behind.

However, Newtonmore lost ground in the four horse title race when they lost 3-2 at home to Skye.

Glasgow Mid Argyll closed in on the second National Division promotion place with a 3-2 success on Bute.

Lovat went ahead with a goal from James MacPherson, and Daniel MacCuish made it 1-1 at half-time before Lewis Cameron's winner with quarter of an hour left.

Ruairidh Anderson put Kingussie in front after just three minutes. There was then no more scoring for almost an hour until his second opened up the floodgates when Roddy Young, Ryan Borthwick and George Taylor Ramsay followed up with one apiece.

An early goal from Lachie Shaw and a Victor Smith double put Fort William well in charge before Kevin Bartlett replied for Caberfeidh.

Skye's goals came from Ruaraidh MacLeod and Neil MacVicar in the first half and Dan MacDonald in the second. These were bookended by a brace from Newtonmore's Iain Robinson.

A Ross Brown first-half double proved the foundation of Mid Argyll's success which tightens up the three horse race, also involving Col Glen and Bute, to accompany Lochaber up to the Premiership.

Glenurquhart and Inveraray drew 1-1.
