Forget pulling numbers out of a velvet bag or plastic balls in a bowl - the draw for the semi-finals of the Nathaniel MG Welsh League Cup was a little different.
Instead, in a move befitting a competition sponsored by a car dealership, the semi-final line-up was decided by a high-octane kart race.
Lining up on the grid were Danny Gabbidon representing Llandudno with fellow former Wales international Joe Ledley in the seat for the other tier two side remaining in the race, Cambrian United.
Ex-Cardiff City defender Scott Young was driving for race favourites The New Saints while former Wales, Swansea and Cardiff winger Andy Legg carried the hopes of Barry Town United, a club he was part of the management team last season.

The draw numbers were decided by the finishing positions with The New Saints in first place, Llandudno in second, Barry Town United third and Cambrian United finishing fourth.
Saints will host Llandudno while Cambrian will be at home to Barry with the games played on the weekend of 5-7 December.
The competition features the 44 clubs that play in the Cymru Leagues as well as two wildcard entries - Cardiff City and Swansea City's Under-21 sides.
As the race for the Cup speeds up, holders The New Saints look firmly in pole position to reclaim the crown they won last season.
But Barry Town – who have been top of the podium six times previously - will be eyeing the chance to overtake them.
Cambrian United or Llandudno could come roaring up from the back of the grid as the race nears the home straight.
