Felix Cash "can't see" Tyler Denny being able to handle his "firepower" when they fight for the European middleweight title.

The pair will headline at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham on Saturday.

Surrey-born Cash, 31, is unbeaten in the ring but has not featured in a professional fight since December 2022 due to a hand injury.

He challenges Denny, 32, after the West Midlands boxer defeated Italy's Matteo Signani in November.

'World-level fighter'

Wokingham-based Cash said injury and the recovery process was "part and parcel" of being a boxer.

"I broke my hand. It's been frustrating watching everyone else fighting when you want to build on your career and have more world title fights," he told BBC Sport.

"It took six months without using my hand, then I had to do rehab and get back into proper shape."

Asked whether he had watched any video footage of Denny in the lead up to their fight, Cash said: "I don't watch many of my opponents to be honest.

"I've seen bits and pieces of him, and he seems like a strong, decent all-round pro.

"But he's a good domestic-level fighter, I'm a world-level fighter.

"I can't see him handling my firepower or getting through the fight . If he does then fair play to him but he'll get beat either way."

Cash's last fight was against Portugal's Celso Neves 18-months ago, but his return is "just another day in the office".

"There's no anxiety here, except the nerves with any fight you have," he added.

"I stepped into the boxing gym at the age of eight and was getting punched in the head, so this is no different.

"It's just another day in the office. I just have to stay focused, switched on, and if I do what I've been doing in the gym Tyler doesn't stand a chance."
