Olympic champion Dodds still has 'taste for winning'

Olympic curling gold medallist Jen Dodds says she has still "got a taste for winning" as she aims to become a European Champion for the second time.
Dodds, 33, won European gold as part of Eve Muirhead’s rink in 2021, before they went on to triumph at the Winter Olympics in Beijing the following year.
She is now part of Rebecca Morrison’s rink, who are hoping to be among the medals as the championships get underway in Finland on Saturday.
"I think once you have got those medals, you have got a taste for winning, and you want to replicate that feeling," Dodds told BBC Sport Scotland.
"Obviously the Olympics was the pinnacle for me. People still ask me: ‘How does it feel?’ And I am still like: ‘It still feels bizarre’.
"I always said it was going to take a couple of years to sink in, but it is always exciting to get playing and have that competitiveness with your country’s name on the back."
Dodds joined Morrison’s team last year and the quartet just missed out on a shot at the medals at the 2023 European Championships, finishing fifth in Aberdeen.
But she believes the group "have come a long way" since, and are heading to Finland in good form having "worked on a lot of areas".
Dodds now want to help Morrison and the rest of the group experience winning a major title.
"When I won my first Euros I remember the feeling, it was such a breakthrough for us," she said.
"The girls haven’t won a Euros so I would love to be part of them having that feeling at the same time.”
