Kingussie leapfrogged Oban Camanachd into top spot in shinty's Mowi Premiership with a 4-2 win over their title rivals at the Dell.
Savio Genini broke the deadlock before half-time in the top-of-the-table clash, and Thomas Borthwick got the champions' second just after the break.
Lewis Cameron responded almost instantly for Oban, but Alexander Michie and Eoin Baikie later confirmed the points and the league lead for Kingussie, despite a stoppage-time goal from Daniel MacVicar.
Meanwhile Newtonmore moved into second and stayed one point behind their rivals Kingussie with a 4-0 win over Lovat, whose relegation was confirmed.
It means the top four are separated by just two points in the closing stages of the season.
Newtonmore were two goals up by half-time with goals from Matthew Sloss and Joe Coyle. Sloss then completed a double and Struan Ross followed up late on to compound Lovat's misery.
Kyles Athletic guaranteed their safety when they prevailed 5-3 at Beauly.
Roan MacVicar and Scott MacDonald had Kyles 2-0 ahead within quarter of an hour and Connor Ross quickly responded.
Two goals apiece in just seven minutes - Louie MacLellan and Finlay Dunbar for Beauly and Ross MacRae and James Pringle for Kyles - brought the half-time score to 4-3 and Kyles who only felt safe when MacDonald got his second in the final quarter.
Fort William won the HIS Sutherland Cup, shinty's reserve team title, with a dramatic 6-4 extra time verdict over Kinlochshiel.
And Oban Celtic took the South Division 1 title, also winning promotion to the National Division with a 2-2 draw with their only challengers, Lochside Rovers.
