Island Games: Isle of Man shooters continue gold success

The Isle of Man's medal haul is growing by the day at the Island Games

Isle of Man shooters have enjoyed more gold medal success in the Island Games.

Clemintine Kermode-Clague won the ladies universal trench before Rachel Glover won both the individual gold in the 100 yards prone rifle competition and team gold with partner Laura Ward.

Swimmer Charlotte Atkinson added the 200m backstroke gold to her impressive medal haul.

High jumper Reagan Dee rounded off the Manx gold medals with a winning 1.66m in the women's high jump competition.

Glover has now won four gold medals and a bronze at this year's event.

Meanwhile, archer Aalin George claimed silver in the Compound Head-to-head knockout competition, with Sarah Rigby narrowly missing the bronze in fourth.

Swimmer Laura Kinley also won silver in the women's 100m breaststroke.

With two days of competition remaining, the Isle of Man are eight gold's behind Guernsey who top the medal leader board.

Team Isle of Man team won five gold medals for the third day running at the Island Games on Wednesday to remain second in the overall medal table behind Guernsey.
