Britain's 5,000m world champion Mo Farah will run at the Great North City Games on Saturday.

Farah, who recently won gold in Daegu, will be joined by fellow World Championship medallists Hannah England, who won silver in the 1500m, and Andy Turner, who earned 110m hurdle bronze.

Great Britain and Northern Ireland take on the US at Gateshead Quayside.

"I'm looking forward to returning to Newcastle," said Farah, who also secured 10,000m silver in Korea.

The Daegu podium finishers are joined by a number of other World Championship representatives, including 110m hurdles finalist William Sharman, in addition to World University Games 5,000m champion Andy Vernon.

"I'm always happy to run for my country and even though I now live in the US, I'll be trying my best to make sure we beat them in the team competition," added Farah.
