Jo Pavey wins 10,000m European title at 40
European 10,000m champion Jo Pavey has been voted British Athletics Athlete of the Year.
The 41-year-old mother-of-two became the oldest gold medallist in European Championships' history when she won in Zurich in August.
Her first-ever international gold capped a fantastic summer for Pavey that also included bronze in the 5,000m at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Pavey is one of seven category winners after a week-long public vote.

Matthew Hudson-Smith, 20, has been crowned British Athletics Young Athlete of the Year after anchoring the England team to a 4x400m gold at the Commonwealth Games, then winning 400m silver behind fellow-Briton Martyn Rooney at the European Championships and gold in the 4x400m.
Double IPC European Championships gold medallist Hannah Cockroft, 22, is the Paralympic Athlete of the Year after 12 months in which she broke the T34 100m and 200 world records, adding European 100m and 800m titles to the Paralympic Games and IPC World Championships in 2012 and 2013.
Maria Lyle, 14, is awarded the Young Paralympic Athlete of the Year and Steve Fudge, who masterminded European titles for sprinters James Dasaolu, Adam Gemili and Jonnie Peacock, has been crowned Coach of the Year.
Swansea Harriers won the Club of the Year and Blair Pettigrew from North Ayrshire AC is Volunteer of the Year.
