Uganda's Ben Siwa won the Cardiff Half Marathon in a time of 62 minutes

Uganda's Ben Siwa ran a personal best to win the 2015 Cardiff Half Marathon.

Siwa, 26, put in a dominant performance to finish in a time of one hour two minutes seven seconds on the course that will stage next year's World Half Marathon Championships.

Gideon Kimosop of Kenya was second with a strong sprint finish to beat Dan Tanui and Assefa Bekele.

Kenya's Lenah Jerotich was the women's winner in 1:11:29 and Richie Powell won the wheelchair race.

Ryan McLeod retained his British Half Marathon title, finishing fifth in the men's race ahead of Welshman Dewi Griffiths.

Britain's Jess Coulson finished third in the women's race behind winner Jerotich and second-placed Demaris Kemunto Areba of Kenya.
