United Kingdom indoor 60m champion Jeremiah Azu has pulled out of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team for the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow that start on Friday.

The 22-year-old Welshman announced his withdrawal on social media.

Welsh Athletics said Azu had a hamstring issue last weekend at a World Athletics Indoor Tour event in Berlin.

Azu clocked 6.60 seconds as he won the 2024 UK indoor title in Birmingham in February.
