The Channel Islands have won three titles at the British Isles Indoor Bowls Championships in Chelmsford.

Jersey's Tommy Greechan won the men's singles after beating Scotland's Michael Stepney 21-17 in the final.

Guernsey's former world champion Alison Merrien won the women's singles as she beat Scotland's two-time world indoor champion Julie Forrest 21-16.

Merrien was also part of the Channel Island women's four that beat Wales 17-15 in a dramatic final.

The quartet of Merrien, Ruth Ogier, Catherine Bosnall and Shirley Petit were tied at 15-15 with their Welsh rivals before taking a shot in each of the final two ends to win the title.

There was also a silver medal for the men's pair of Ross Davis and Luke Le Sueur after they lost 26-16 to English Commonwealth Games medallists Sam Tolchard and Louis Ridout.
