    Stewart Anderson staged an amazing comeback to book his place in the Scottish International Bowls Open final against Mark Dawes in Livingston, with the match being broadcast live on the BBC Sport website from 16:00 BST.

    The former world champion was a set and 8-2 down to English qualifier Sam Tolchard before winning 7-9 9-8 2-0.

    Anderson will bid to be the first Scot to win the title four times when he faces Englishman Dawes, who beat Scotland's Paul Foster 9-8 9-7 in the earlier semi-final in a match between two former world champions.

    England's Mark Dawes awaits the winner of the second semi-final after beating five-time world champion Paul Foster 9-8, 8-7 at the Scottish International Bowls Open in Livingston.

    The world number eight, himself a two-time world champion, will be making his first appearance in the final of the tournament.

    It is another Scotland vs England affair in the second semi-final at 12:00 BST, with three-time winner Stewart Anderson facing qualifier Sam Tolchard, again live on the BBC Sport website.

    Thursday's semi-finals are both Scotland v England affairs.

    First up at 10:00 BST, world number eight Mark Dawes will be seeking the scalp of a third Scottish seed when he faces five-time world champion Paul Foster.

    Dawes, himself a two-time world champion, ended the hopes of current world title holder and reigning Scottish International Bowls Open champion Jason Banks, who had gone 18 games without defeat in all competitions, before ousting former world champion Darren Burnett.

    However, current world number four Foster is looking to end a six-year wait for a fourth Scottish International Bowls Open title.

    In the second semi-final at noon, current world number one and three-time winner Stewart Anderson faces Sam Tolchard, the English qualifier who has already ousted three seeds - world number three Robert Paxton, Michael Stepney and Les Gillett.

    The Scottish International Open is one of the longest established events on the World Bowls Tour calendar. The origins of the competition date back to 1989 with this being the 35th edition of the event.
