Paddy Barnes will target the WBC world flyweight belt on the undercard to Carl Frampton's Windsor Park fight.

Barnes will challenge Cristofer Rosales of Nicaragua for his title with former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury also to appear on the bill.

Promoter Frank Warren has confirmed Frampton will face Australian Luke Jackson in the 18 August feature bout.

The Belfast fighter is the WBO's interim featherweight champion while fifth-ranked Jackson is undefeated.

Frampton, 31, is set to fulfil a long-held ambition to headline a stadium fight in his native Northern Ireland and predicting a crowd of 24-thousand fans for his latest homecoming bout.

The former two-weight world champion had hoped to face a more high-profile opponent with Josh Warrington, Lee Selby, Leo Santa Cruz and Gary Russell Jr among the names previously linked to the fight.

Warren now says that new IBF featherweight champion Warrington will be Frampton's next opponent provided he does not slip to a surprise defeat in August.

Jackson turned professional after competing at the 2012 Olympics and the 33-year-old has won all 16 of his fights, but this will be his first pro bout outside his native Australia.

"I think I'm as good if not better than I was three years ago," said Frampton.

"If you look at my last performance against Donaire, it was the most complete performance of my career.

"I think I'm more discipline now, I'm more switched on, and I think if you were to compare all the performances in my career, I think the Donaire fight would rank second only to [Leo] Santa Cruz one."

'His fight could potentially steal the show'

Barnes will aim for a world title in just his sixth professional bout when he fights Rosales.

The two-time Olympic bronze medallist has won all five of his professional fights since his debut and took the vacant WBO Intercontinental flyweight title with a sixth round stoppage of Nicaraguan Eliecer Quezada last November.

"It's huge for both of us. Paddy is my friend and I support him in whatever he does," added Frampton.

"He's an exciting fighter too, he's exciting to watch. I think his fight could potentially steal the show."

Rosales, who was beaten by Andrew Selby last year, has 27 wins and three defeats from his 30 professional fights and won the vacant WBO title with a shock defeat of the previously undefeated Daigo Higa of Japan in April.
