Lauren Price: Olympic champion targets 2024 world title fight

Olympic gold medallist Lauren Price says she wants a world title fight in 2024 and is targeting the winner of Natasha Jonas versus Mikaela Mayer.
Price will look to extend her undefeated professional record when she takes on Silvia Bortot on 10 December.
Two-weight world champion Jonas will defend her IBF welterweight title against Mayer in her hometown of Liverpool on 20 January.
"I'd love the winner of Jonas v Mayer," Price told BBC Radio Wales Sport.
"I think it's a very realistic fight. I want the fight and I've been told by certain people I'm in line to face the winner."
Price first needs to overcome her toughest opponent to date in Bortot, who she faces in Bournemouth. Italy's Bortot is a former European light-welterweight champion.
The bout forms part of the Chris Billam-Smith v Mateusz Masternak undercard.
Should Price win, she is confident a showdown with Jonas or Mayer can come next.
Jonas, 39, will be making the first defence of her IBF welterweight belt since stopping Canadian Kandi Wyatt in July.
Jonas is also the reigning WBC, WBO and IBF light-middleweight champion.
American Mayer, 33, is a former unified super-featherweight world champion and will be stepping up in weight for the bout at the M&S Bank Arena.
Liverpool's Jonas has won 14 professional fights, with two losses and a draw, while Mayer has won 19 fights and lost one.
"Mikaela Mayer is headlining against Natasha Jonas in January and they are the fighters I have my eye on," Price added.
"I can't look past December 10, as she (Bortot) is a good opponent for me.
"But I believe I'll get a good win and move on into 2024 banging on the door for those world titles.
"I have been wanting the big fights for a while now.
"I believe I am in my prime and come March or April I am ready for my world title [opportunity]."
Price has won all five of her fights since turning professional in 2022, with the most recent triumph coming against Lolita Muzeya in September.
Former Welsh world champion Barry Jones believes Jonas against Price is a fight that could be made next year.
"Jonas v Price, why not?" he told BBC Radio Wales.
"I think Lauren Price would be one of Natasha Jonas' hardest fights.
"She's a real talent. Women's boxing doesn't have much middle ground, you go from boxing fighters who aren't very good, to fighters who are very good.
"Lauren has gone past that first level now... she needs to force those big fights.
"Give her an opportunity to step up for bigger fights and she will show you just how good she is.
"I think her options are really bright, but she can't wait any longer."
You can listen to interviews with Lauren Price and Barry Jones on BBC Radio Wales Sport on Friday, 24 November between 19:00-21:00 GMT.
