Brad Pauls felt he 'did enough to win' British middleweight title fight with Nathan Heaney

Brad Pauls feels he "did enough" to win the British middleweight title after drawing with Nathan Heaney.
The Cornish fighter, 30, earned a split draw in Birmingham as he failed to win for just the second time in his 20-fight professional career.
One judge had "The Newquay Bomb" winning 115-114, another had it 116-113 to Stoke-on-Trent's Heaney and the third scored it as a 114-114 draw.
"I felt like I did enough to win," Pauls said on social media., external
"A few things could have been dealt with differently. I feel that would have affected the result.
"But you know when you're the away fighter you're not getting any favours, so that's just how it goes in boxing sometimes.
"Even though I feel like I did enough to win I don't have the belt with me. I got a draw, which is heart-breaking."
But Heaney's promoter Frank Warren saw the bout differently, telling BBC Radio Stoke that he thought the reigning British champion had done enough to win a 19th bout out of 19.
"I thought he won the fight by a couple of rounds," said Warren.
"But it was such a great fight between two extremely good competitors that I don't want to be criticising Brad because I couldn't criticise him.
"He was in the other guy's back yard as far as fans were concerned and he did a great job.
"I don't know how one judge gave it to him though because he didn't win the fight, but he put in a brilliant performance and he obviously came to win. But I felt Nathan did enough to win by two to three rounds."
