Ryan ten Doeschate and Maurice Chambers have committed to Essex

Essex have secured the futures of all-rounder Ryan ten Doeschate and pace bowler Maurice Chambers.

Dutch international ten Doeschate, 30, has signed a deal until the end of the 2013 campaign.

While 23-year-old Chambers has agreed a contract extension which will expire this winter.

"I am delighted to have signed an extension and really look forward to many more successful times," ten Doeschate told the club website.

"There is no other place I want to play my cricket.

"The signing of my new contract was simply a formality of dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

"Our goal is to win silverware, like we have done in the past and I want to be part of this."

The South African-born one-day specialist led they way for the Netherlands at this year's World Cup, smashing 307 runs over six matches, including 119 from 110 balls against England, external.

Last season he notched 577 county championship runs across 11 matches for Essex, and averaged 45 in the Clydesdale Bank 40.

Chambers, who took 32 County Championship wickets last season, earned a call-up to England's development squad over the winter.

"It's really good that Essex have decided to offer me a further year to my current contract," he said.

"It is great to know that the club has shown confidence in my ability.

"I personally believe that I can go on to play for England in the future and hopefully I can keep fit this season to play a crucial role for the team."
