England have named an unchanged 13-man squad for the final Test with India at The Oval starting on Thursday.

Jonathan Trott has not recovered from a shoulder injury so Ravi Bopara, who deputised in the innings-and-242-run win at Edgbaston,, external remains in the squad.

Pacemen Chris Tremlett, who has missed the last two Tests with a back injury, and Steven Finn are also in the party.

The win at Edgbaston gave England a 3-0 lead in the four-match series and moved them to the top of the world rankings.

England are expected to name an unchanged XI at The Oval but national selector Geoff Miller said giant bowlers Tremlett and Finn could still feature as the team seek their first Test series whitewash over India since a 3-0 success in 1974.

Tremlett, the 6ft 7in Surrey seamer, took 15 wickets in the 1-0 series win over Sri Lanka at the start of the summer and four more in the opening Test with India at Lord's before suffering the back problem.

Finn, also 6ft 7in, took four wickets in the first innings of the second match with Sri Lanka and has 50 Test scalps from 12 matches, but the 22-year-old has since been unable to regain a place in the triumphant England side.

"Chris Tremlett is available for selection following continued treatment for his back injury and he and Steven Finn are included in a broader 13-man squad for the last Test match of the summer," Miller said.

"The performance at Edgbaston was of the highest quality but the team will now re-focus on finishing the series in a strong manner with much still to play for."

England squad for Oval Test starting on 18 August: Andrew Strauss (Middlesex, captain), James Anderson (Lancashire), Ian Bell (Warwickshire), Ravi Bopara (Essex), Tim Bresnan (Yorkshire), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Alastair Cook (Essex), Steven Finn (Middlesex), Eoin Morgan (Middlesex), Kevin Pietersen (Surrey), Matt Prior (Sussex, wk), Graeme Swann (Nottinghamshire), Chris Tremlett (Surrey).
