Durham veteran Dale Benkenstein takes awards treble

Benkenstein passed Jon Lewis' total run record for Durham in the win against Lancashire

Durham one-day captain Dale Benkenstein collected a hat-trick of honours at Monday's Player of the Year awards.

The 37-year-old picked up the county's Player of the Year Award, the Player's Player of the Year, and the Batsman of the Year prize.

Benkenstein was also given a special honour to mark his passing the county's run record in June 2011.

Newly capped England one-day batsman Ben Stokes was handed the Young Player of the Year honour.

Elsewhere Graham Onions collected the Bowler of the Year prize, while Will Smith earned the award for the county's top fielder.

Michael Richardson was named the second team Player of the Year, while Onions added the Community Player of the Year to his bowling achievement.
